Chartered Physiotherapist

Aiveen is a Charted Physiotherapist and graduated with First Class Honours in Physiotherapy from Teesside University. She won the award for Best Overall Student on her course. She worked in private practice in England before joining JT Physiotherapy.

She worked with International level athletes at Teesside across a range of multi-sports and worked closely with Teesside’s Centre of Excellence for Girls football. Since graduating, she has worked pitch side for FAI, Irish FA and League of Ireland squads. She was also part of the medical team which travelled to Taipei for the World University Games in August 2017.

Aiveen is commencing her Master’s Degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine at University of Ulster in September. Clinically, she enjoys treating the lower limb and has a particular interest in ACL injuries. She attended the Optimal Loading Conference held in Belfast in October 2017 as well as additional CPD courses including Running Repairs by Tom Goom and The Shoulder by Adam Meakins.

Along with her academic qualifications, she is a fully qualified STOTT Reformer Pilates Instructor. She uses Pilates to facilitate movement and assist with patient rehabilitation. She has also recently gained certification as an EKSO Bionics practitioner – this involves working with an Eksobionic Skeleton to help people with spinal cord injuries, stroke and MS improve their mobility and gait patterns.

Outside of work, Aiveen plays football for Derry City Ladies who compete in the Northern Ireland Premier Division. She also played football with Northern Ireland at Under 19 level. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, running, gym-based work and yoga.
