Liam Leech

Liam gained his BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science Degree at the world-renowned Loughborough University.  During this time he became particularly interested in the field of Nutrition, both from a sports performance standpoint and general day-to-day health and wellbeing.

After Loughborough he went on to further study, graduating with Masters Degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Ulster in 2012.  Prior to joining the clinic he worked in a cross-bordeanutr logo 1r obesity prevention project in conjunction with the HSE and the NHS.  Liam is registered as an Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) with the Association for Nutrition (AfN) / UKVRN.

In addition to his academic qualifications, he is also a Stott Certified Reformer Pilates Instructor and has undertaken further study in:

  • Strength & Conditioning
  • Personal Training
  • GP Exercise Referral
  • Occupational First Aid
  • Pilates
  • Functional Running Analysis & Gait Re-education
  • Food Safety & HACCP
  • Currently working towards accreditation with the UKSCA

Liam is also a co-author, with the results of his Masters research project “Vitamin D Status of Elite Irish Athletes” having recently been published.  He is also a weekly columnist in the Derry People Donegal News, writing on subject of nutrition and fitness.
