Irish Life Health Back-Up

JT Physiotherapy is delighted to be an appointed provider of Irish Life Health Back-Up in County Donegal.

The service helps eligible members access support for acute back and neck pain through early intervention, clinical case management and personalised physiotherapy treatment. Eligible members can receive up to six physiotherapy sessions, with a one-off fee of €65.

Irish Life Health pays the physiotherapist directly for the remaining covered treatments.

Expert support for back and neck pain

Most of us experience back or neck pain at some point. While it often settles on its own, persistent pain can affect your work, everyday activities and sleep.

That’s why we’ve developed Back-Up — a dedicated physiotherapy programme for Irish Life Health members, designed to help you manage back and neck pain and get back to doing the things you enjoy.

How does Back-Up work?
If you start to experience any back or neck pain take the following steps to get Back-Up:

  • Step 1

    Call Irish Life Health Back-Up on 1800 911 540. and ask whether you are eligible for the scheme.

  • Step 2

    An Irish Life Health customer care agent will establish that you are an Irish Life member, ask a couple of questions and book a triage assessment with your dedicated clinical case manager at a time that is convenient for you.

  • Step 3

    Your Back-Up clinical case manager will assess your symptoms and advise a personalised treatment plan to help you feel great again. The Irish Life Health Back-Up service is designed to provide treatment and rehabilitation programs through a combination of physiotherapist visits, if clinically appropriate, and self-help exercises as required. You will be assigned a dedicated clinical case manager who will monitor your progress throughout the program with the aim of reducing pain or discomfort and getting you back to normal as quickly as possible.
